- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- Add the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the dutch oven. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Add the black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the dutch oven. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the chili has thickened.
- Serve the chili hot with your favorite toppings.
