In the annals of Harvard hockey, there are few stories as improbable as that of Alex Kerfoot. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Kerfoot grew up playing hockey on the frozen ponds of Central Park. He was a natural talent, and by the time he was in high school, he was one of the top players in the country.

Kerfoot's success on the ice caught the attention of Harvard coach Tim Murphy, who offered him a scholarship to play for the Crimson. Kerfoot accepted, and in the fall of 2013, he arrived in Cambridge, Massachusetts, ready to embark on his collegiate hockey career.

Kerfoot's freshman season at Harvard was a success. He led the team in scoring, and helped the Crimson reach the NCAA Tournament. The following season, he was named an All-American, and helped Harvard win its first ECAC Hockey Championship in 27 years.

After his sophomore season, Kerfoot decided to leave Harvard and pursue a professional hockey career. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, and he made his NHL debut in the 2017-18 season.

Kerfoot has quickly become one of the most promising young players in the NHL. He is a skilled skater and shooter, and he has a knack for scoring big goals. In the 2019-20 season, he helped the Maple Leafs reach the Eastern Conference Finals, and he was named a finalist for the Calder Trophy, which is awarded to the NHL's Rookie of the Year.

Kerfoot's journey from the frozen ponds of Central Park to the NHL is a testament to his hard work and dedication. He is a role model for young hockey players everywhere, and he is an inspiration to all who dream of achieving their goals.
